DMB-TH Demodulator

The LGS-8913 is a single chip DMB-TH (Digital Multimedia/TV Broadcasting - Terrestrial / Handheld) demodulator. It uses TDS-OFDM (Time Domain Synchronous - Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technology, which is the foundation on which the China Digital Television Terrestrial Broadcasting System Standard (GB20600-2006) is based. Designed for digital terrestrial reception of high definition, standard definition and other multimedia-based services, the demodulator is intended for indoor, outdoor, fixed, and automotive applications. The LGS-8913 is designed for integrated digital televisions (iDTVs), set-top boxes, and automobile receivers.

The chip demodulates a digitized input from a Terrestrial TV tuner and ADC(s) and provides the selected channel content as a MPEG-2 transport stream (TS) in parallel or serial format.
